Meet the Team

Piyush Amin

Our Superintendent Owner Pharmacist, Mr Piyush Amin, is a graduate of University College London (UCL) and has been providing Pharmacy Services for over 35 years and works closely with the community and local health care professionals. Piyush also is a registered Travel Expert and runs our Travel Vaccination Clinic which has become a hub for the local community due to his excellence, knowledge and humour.

Stacey Slattery

Stacey has been with us for over 15 years and has become one of the leading faces of Blackwells. She is the practice manager and lead dispenser, with patients coming from far and wide thanks to her kindness, comedy and professional service.

Nikki joined us in 2016 looking for a change of industry to help people. We took her under our wing and have seen her fly from height to height. Her deep centred kindness and care is expressive in all her work and has earnt her the name as “The Mum of Blackwells”.

Ade Citaku

Ade has been working with us for a number of years as she progresses through her higher education, where she is currently qualifying in Pharmacology. She adds a great depth of understanding in Medicine and Drugs which she uses to help patients understand their medication.

Where are we?

We are situated in the heart of Beckenham, Kent at 245 Croydon Road, BR3 3PS.

How do we get to you?

Excellent transport links allow for easy access across London from Beckenham Junction, Clock house, Penge, Elmers End and Eden Park rail stations. We have two bus stops on the parade offering routes 54, 194 and 358 in either direction.

We are conveniently situated 300m South-Westerly from Beckenham Beacon Hospital which is a comfortable 2 minutes’ walk. Beckenham High Street sits just 4 minutes’ walk away with Elmers End Rail Station being 15 minutes walk/3 minute drive.

Positioned near the junction of Croydon Road and Bramerton Road, where Beckenham Audi Dealership is, gives us a welcome addition of extra free parking via parking bays as well as street parking.

All in all, the Pharmacy and Clinic has great accessibility and in a convenient location with free parking and transport links.

Established in 1983, we have been around for 35 years providing excellence care and personal professional advice. Over time, we have secured ourselves to thousands of patients as "their long term family pharmacist" due to our specialist advice, care and attention served and tailored to each and every patient and their needs.

We provide both NHS and Private Services to the community at a time to suit you, whilst working closely with the community and local health care professionals to make a positive and caring contribution.

Our team of qualified Dispensing Technicians and Health Care Assistants are extensively trained and certified, and can offer you help and advice on a wealth of services. All our staff are also members of the local municipal and therefore we understand and can serve the needs of our community effectively, with personal but professional care.

Can you do a Repeat on my Prescription?

We offer Repeat prescriptions from all local surgeries which can be ordered online via our mobile or desktop friendly website or by calling/emailing the pharmacy team. Once ordered, your prescription will be ready and waiting for you within a few working days. Thanks to our website and email repeat service, you can now repeat your prescription at any time during the day or night, at a time to suit you.

We are also connected to the NHS spine network and thus can dispense prescriptions that sent to the pharmacy electronically from your GP or Medical professional. All you have to do is nominate us as your preferred pharmacy during your next visit to the GP or Pharmacy and we will manage the rest on your behalf.

Do you have a Delivery Service?

We provide a complimentary local home delivery service within BR2, BR3, BR4 postcodes for customers who are frail and housebound or live in warden-controlled accommodation or for local patients, who are unable to pick up their medication, so please contact us for more information and available delivery times.

Can you collect my Prescription from My Local Surgery?

Yes, we can collect your prescription from your surgery. You will need to nominate us as your preferred pharmacy first and we will do the rest for you.

Blackwells Chemist and Travel Clinic strives to offer each patient and customer a selection of advice, services and appropriate medication or best practice. Medication is not always the best solution so come tell us your issues in confidence, and we can advise the best course of action.
